Learning Journey - Foundations for a Lifetime

Year 1 (06/07) Complete the mirror image

In order for pupils to reach their full potential within our curriculum programme, we expect to stay at the School until the end of Year Two. Continuity in the methods used throughout the school is the cornerstone of the curriculum, the six broad areas of learning in the Early Years encompass;

  1. Personal, social & emotional development
  2. Communication, language & literacy
  3. Problem Solving, Reasoning & Numeracy
  4. Knowledge & understanding of the world
  5. Physical development
  6. Creative development

In our Pre-Prep Department, these areas of learning are further developed in-line with the National Curriculum.  Our School Curriculum, although based on the National Curriculum is designed to work at the pace and ability of each individual.  This enables most children to not only to meet but often exceed our very high expectations.
