Ethos
Our idea of nurturing a child is for that child to feel that school is an extension of family, a place where they are understood, loved and cared for.
The school strives to guide and support each child at our school in exploring their potential in an exciting, nurturing and safe environment. We encourage children to become confident, independent and self reliant, while enjoying the value of family, friendship and community.
Although we are an academic school, we believe that children’s social, moral and cultural development are key in establishing a balanced, positive and successful approach to learning.
We encourage each child to value themselves and each other, to approach learning with enthusiasm and energy and to revel in discovery at every stage of their learning.
St John's Wood Pre-Prep School does not promote any partisan political views.
A parent remarked that we are a small school with a big heart. Our idea of nurturing a child is for that child to feel that school is an extension of family, a place where they are understood, loved and cared for. A place where making mistakes is a part of the learning adventure and that they will have the support they need in tackling challenges.
We realise that for many parents sending their child to school for the first time can be daunting. We’re here to hold your hand too. Collaboration between the school and family is vital. Together, we can work to develop your child’s unique qualities and particular talents and give them the very best educational experience possible. Not least, we aim to help parents through what may seem like a minefield of academic options for your child’s onward journey.
